Our annual Earth Day Clean Up is approaching. This year SRA is partnering with the Riverside Estates Community Group to clean up along the Little Sackville River behind Riverside Estates.
We will be meeting at the Mary Beth Benedict Park at 130 Hallmark Avenue in the morning and cleaning up along the river and the access road that runs parallel to the river through the Sackville River Linear Park. We will work both upstream to Madeline Avenue and downstream to the end of Hallmark Avenue.
Stay tuned for the exact start time for April 21.
The Great Nova Scotia Pick Me Up will provide:
Nitrile gloves (Bring your own heavy work gloves - leather or canvas if you have any)
Garbage bags
Blue bags for recyclables
SRA will provide waders for those wanting to cross the river to clean on the far side.
The GNSPMU will also arrange to haul away whatever is collected.
We ask that anyone who can bring carts, wheelbarrows etc... please do so as there are large pieces of debris remaining from last July's flood.
