Special Guest Speaker AGM June 3: Jillian Leonard

The Nova Scotia Salmon Association has been on the front lines of fish conservation since the early 1960’s. Through innovative projects and strong partnerships, their work on the West River, Sheet Harbour has provided a template for acid-impacted watersheds. Building on this success, their new project helps identify priority watersheds to direct future restoration. This talk will cover a brief history of the NSSA, their West River Projects and plans to guide conservation efforts across Nova Scotia.

Jillian is a Conservation Biologist and Program Coordinator with the Nova Scotia Salmon Association. Her background in marine biology and science communication helps her contribute to the growing public awareness of the many threats to wild fish.
