A key goal of the SRA is to raise public awareness of environmental issues related to the Sackville River watershed. An informed and motivated public is essential to the development of effective action plans to restore, remediate and sutainably manage the watershed.

To meet this goal, the SRA:

• Offers monthly talks on environmental issues (see in Events) (Currently suspended due to Covid 19 restrictions)

• Sets up and operates information booths at community events

• Participates in community events such as the Patriot Days and Snow Days parades

• Organizes community events such as the annual spring "Duck Race", periodic river clean ups and an annual fundraising banquet/auction
